Berlin, Germany — Nigeria and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations as Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to Germany, Ambassador Ita Solomon Enang, OFR, formally presented his Letters of Credence to the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at the Presidential Palace in Berlin.
The diplomatic ceremony marked the official assumption of Ambassador Enang’s responsibilities as Nigeria’s representative in Germany and opened a new chapter in the longstanding partnership between both countries.
The presentation of credentials represents more than a formal diplomatic tradition; it signals Nigeria’s renewed engagement with Germany in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, technology transfer, education, energy cooperation, security, migration, and sustainable development.
Germany remains one of Nigeria’s most important European partners, with decades of collaboration spanning industrial development, technical training, renewable energy, infrastructure, and economic cooperation.
