Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Saturday arrived in Benue State to attend the wedding reception of the son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
On arrival, the Vice President was honoured with a Guard of Honour mounted in his respect before proceeding to the venue of the reception, marking the significance of the occasion and the high-level presence it attracted.
The holy matrimony joined Samuel Aondoakura, son of Senator George Akume, and Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in a celebration that drew dignitaries from across the state and beyond.
Vice President Shettima was warmly received by the SGF, the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Hyacinth Alia, as well as other top government officials, political leaders, and traditional and community stakeholders.
The Vice President’s presence underscored President Tinubu’s goodwill and solidarity with the Akume family, as well as the administration’s emphasis on unity, shared values, and strong bonds among Nigeria’s leadership and citizens.
