President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, during a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the visit, Governor Abiodun expressed deep appreciation to the President for his recent historic trip to Ogun State, describing it as impactful and symbolic for the state’s development trajectory.

In a significant cultural gesture, the governor presented President Tinubu with a ceremonial sword, conferring on him the title of Jagaban—a traditional symbol denoting a leader of warriors and a conqueror. The presentation, according to Abiodun, reflects strong endorsement and solidarity with the President’s leadership.

The Ogun State governor reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to tackle crime and corruption, as well as his anticipated bid for a second term in office.

The meeting highlighted continued political alignment and cooperation between the Presidency and Ogun State, reinforcing a shared commitment to governance, security, and national development.
