Abuja, March 24, 2026 — The Federal Government, in collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service, has reaffirmed its readiness to roll out the National Single Window (NSW) platform on March 27, 2026, in a major push to enhance trade efficiency and ease of doing business.

Streamlining Trade Processes

The National Single Window initiative is designed to:

Simplify trade documentation and procedures

Reduce cargo clearance delays

Improve coordination among government agencies involved in trade.

Officials say the system will serve as a centralised digital platform, enabling traders to process all import and export requirements seamlessly.

Customs Readiness

Representing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, senior official Oluyomi Adebakin highlighted the Service’s preparedness, noting the integration of its B’Odogwu digital platform with the NSW framework.

He emphasised ongoing collaboration between Customs and the implementation team to ensure a smooth rollout.

Boost to Economy and Competitiveness

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, said the platform will:

Enhance transparency in trade operations

Increase efficiency in revenue collection

Position Nigeria as a more competitive regional trade hub

Strategic Impact

The National Single Window is expected to align Nigeria with global best practices in trade facilitation, supporting economic growth and strengthening investor confidence.

With the March ending launch date set, Nigeria is poised to take a significant step toward modern, digital trade management, reducing bottlenecks and unlocking greater economic potential.
