Nigeria is reinforcing its visibility and influence on the global economic stage ahead of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, intensifying diplomatic and economic engagements aimed at deepening international partnerships and attracting foreign investment.
In a move that underscores the country’s commitment to global economic integration, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, received the Swiss Ambassador on a courtesy visit. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to promote Nigeria’s trade and investment potential to the international community as global leaders and investors prepare for the high-level Davos gathering.
During the visit, the Swiss Ambassador congratulated Nigeria on the successful hosting of its first-ever Nigeria House in Davos, describing it as a landmark initiative that effectively showcased the country’s economic opportunities and reform agenda. The Ambassador also conveyed goodwill messages and best wishes to the Nigerian delegation ahead of the forum.
Dr. Oduwole reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strategic global engagement, emphasizing the Federal Government’s resolve to leverage international platforms such as the WEF to attract investment, boost trade, and advance national development priorities. She noted that Nigeria remains open for business and focused on building sustainable partnerships that will drive inclusive growth and industrial expansion.
